Superhero Quilt

Last year I saw a few superhero rag quilts on Pinterest that looked awesome!

Superhero Rag Quilt

I hadn’t done much quilting, and I hadn’t made a rag quilt before. I wanted to do a really good job of it, as I wanted to make it for my son. I think I must have tried the rag quilt 4 or 5 times, before I came to the decision to ditch the rag and make a “normal” quilt 🙂

I got all the logos from Google Images, and just traced them out from my monitor onto paper.

I’m so happy with how it turned out! And my son loves it too 🙂

P.S. I didn’t write up a tutorial or anything as there are a lot of awesome tutorials online already, and I’m certainly not the best quilter 🙂

I really love this quilt, and I want to make one just like it! I’ve never made a quilt before, and I’m certainly not looking for perfection. Do you have any tips? Was there a pattern that you based the overall quilt on, or did you make it up as you went?

Thanks so much 🙂 I kind of went off the rag quilt I saw on Pinterest and worked it out from there. So there are 4 smaller squares to make up one of the bigger squares with a logo on it. The logos I just googled, then held up some paper to my monitor and I traced them out, then transferred that to the iron on stuff to hold it in place while I was sewing the felt on to the larger squares 🙂 I hope that makes sense 🙂 I did sort of make it up as I went though, as without the border it was just a little small for the bed, so I added a bit extra. But I like it like that 🙂 Here is a tutorial on the style I did, it looks pretty good 🙂 I just had bigger squares 🙂 https://www.diaryofaquilter.com/2014/09/fast-four-patch-quilt-tutorial.html
